The manuals and their licence
Foliora publishes three 60-page manuals: The Independent Author Manual (English / bilingual), Manuel de l'Auteur Indépendant (French) and دليل المؤلف المستقل (Arabic). Each is supplied free of charge after email verification.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use the manual for your own publishing projects. You may print one copy for personal use and quote short passages with attribution. You may not resell, redistribute, repackage, translate or upload the files to another platform.
Requests and verification
One request covers one address and one edition. The download link is signed, valid for fifteen minutes and limited to a small number of retrievals. Requests are rate-limited to three verification codes per address per fifteen minutes.
We may decline or remove a request where the address is disposable, the submission is automated, or the details are evidently false.
Acceptable use
- Do not submit another person's details without their knowledge.
- Do not use scripts, scrapers or automation against the request form or the dashboard.
- Do not attempt to bypass verification, forge a download token or probe the administrative interface.
- Do not use the manuals as the basis of a competing paid product.
Breach of these rules may result in the withdrawal of access and the deletion of the associated record.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, covers, typographic system and code of the manuals and of this site belong to Foliora and its licensors. The names and marks of Self-Publishing Review and Independent Review of Books remain the property of their respective owners and are used with permission to describe the production partnership.
Third-party platforms
The manuals describe Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and other services. Foliora is not affiliated with them, does not control their terms or royalties, and cannot guarantee a listing, a review or a sales result. Platform rules change: verify current requirements before you publish.
No professional advice
The manuals are editorial guidance, not legal, tax or financial advice. Contracts, copyright registration and royalty treatment vary by territory; take qualified advice for your own situation.
Availability
The library is offered as-is and may be suspended for maintenance or security work. We aim to keep each edition available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted access.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Foliora is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the manuals or of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
